Production DEMGY Paris - Clamart (92)

We are fortunate to be able to offer a wide range of training courses. Whether to change jobs or machines, or for skills in first aid, IT, management, and compliance standards.

What is your background at DEMGY?

I started on a small conventional milling machine on the second floor. Then I switched to the conventional lathe because I'd already done some milling and turning. After that, I worked on the digital lathe, where I mainly do digital turning parts.

What is your job today?

I specialize in the manufacture of small parts. I'm an NC (Numerical Control) turner, and I program and sharpen tools.

What is your professional background?

For personal reasons, I had to stop working after graduating from high school. Despite this, I've been able to develop my skills and grow professionally thanks to my experience and the opportunities offered by DEMGY.

What's the best thing about working at DEMGY?

What I like best are the big machines, which aren't 5-axis, because they allow you to make a wide variety of part types. It's more complex and interesting, because you can do milling and turning parts at the same time. I also really enjoy working with Vespel, which is a pleasant material to handle, with no unpleasant odors or risk of injury. It's a very light plastic.

Can you tell us about a typical day at work?

When I started at DEMGY, I was surprised by the atmosphere and the collaboration between employees. I thought it would be strict and individualistic, but it was quite the opposite. People were very friendly and willing to help. I started out on conventional machines to learn the basics, then moved on to digital. My typical day consists of preparing the machines, receiving design information, making the necessary adjustments and machining the parts. Each part goes through a rigorous inspection, first by me, then by the quality controller.

Since you've been here, have you had any training?

Yes, we're lucky enough to be able to progress thanks to a wide range of training courses. Whether it's to change jobs or machines, or for skills in first aid, IT, management, and compliance standards. These training courses enable us to develop continuously.

If you had to sum up DEMGY in 3 words, which would you choose?

I'd say DEMGY is a very pleasant company, with no particular stress. Employee well-being is a priority here.

What message would you like to give to people who are hesitating to apply for a job at DEMGY?

I'd tell them not to be afraid. A lot of young people are afraid of the working conditions and the pay. At DEMGY, the salary is within the norm, and there are plenty of opportunities for advancement. It's an ideal place to learn, grow quickly and develop your skills. It's a welcoming environment conducive to professional development.
