Surface Treatment Workshop Manager

We are looking for a Surface Treatment Workshop Manager to join our company, specialized in the production of components for the automotive, sport and home appliance industry.

The objectives of the position are to:

• Coordination, organization, production planning in the chrome plating department to manufacture quality products and on time delivery;
• Efficient management of human resources and entrusted materials;
• Continuous development of processes aimed at increasing the efficiency of the production flow and employees;

Main duties include, but are not limited to:

• Shop floor management, tracking and coordinating production to fit orders within technological and time parameters (making and tracking production and order delivery charts; documenting in ERP as per stock and order production requirements;
• Process optimisation: production flows, working times, recipe quality; maintenance of machinery/equipment;
• Coordination of workshop teams; productivity;
• Technical quality control of products in the production flow and on delivery; coordination of management activities concerning stocks, supply);
• Coordinating and motivating production staff to achieve production targets and indicators;
• Reporting production activity;
• Optimal communication and support to sales, economics, management, management departments, regarding delivery deadlines, order taking, process improvement, problem solving, prevention of possible production/delivery errors, etc.

Perfil requerido

We want to meet a person with very good technical knowledge, ability to work independently, proactive person, with leadership, planning, organization and coordination skills; with an attitude oriented towards efficiency, quality, continuous learning, development of team members, teamwork, focus on results and the customer; with strong values, professional ethics, ability to adapt and integrate into an already formed team.

Knowledge and qualifications required:

• Higher technical education, preferably in surface treatments;
• Strategies for production flow organisation, continuous improvement, production planning;
• Practical knowledge of production procedures and processes; human resources management;
• MS Office, ERP software (CEGID Software - advantage);
• Lb. Foreign languages: English and French (an advantage)
• Driving licence category B

Your work experience:

• Proven experience in production organisation;
• Experience in coordinating and motivating production teams;
