What is your career path?

I've been working at DEMGY for 30 years. I joined the deburring department in 1992. I then moved on to the shipping department, then to purchasing, and finally to customer service. Now I'm in charge of all sales and customer relations.

What does your job involve ? 

My work in the Sales department mainly involves registering orders, preparing shipments and managing delivery notes for these shipments. Sales also means maintaining close relations with our customers, transmitting acknowledgements of receipt, meeting deadlines, and replying to reminder e-mails. Behind all this, there's also order entry and registration.

What's the best thing about working at DEMGY ?

What I appreciate most about DEMGY is the atmosphere. We have a great way of working together, helping each other and collaborating within teams. In my day-to-day work, I like the variety of tasks. I'm still in charge of everything to do with purchasing, especially material orders for the workshop. I enjoy being of service to customers, making contacts and talking to them. Order entry is another task I really enjoy. I like the multitasking nature of my job, where no two days are ever the same. 

Can you describe a typical day in your work ? 

Every day is different, but in general, in the morning, I start by reading my e-mails and replying to customers, especially for deadline reminders. Then I prepare the delivery notes for shipment and record the orders. I also respond to telephone reminders if necessary. It's this variety that makes my job interesting. 

In three words, how would you describe DEMGY ? 

For me, DEMGY stands for innovation, know-how and technology. We've been in business since 1947, so we have a long history of know-how. We are efficient and effective in what we do, thanks to our technological mastery. 

What message would you like to pass on to people applying for a job at DEMGY?
