Julien Safourcade
Operations Manager
Producción DEMGY Paris - Clamart (92)
It's a company on a human scale. The proximity between employees, even between different sites, and the cross-functional nature of the sites are assets.
What has been your career path at DEMGY?
I joined DEMGY 4 years ago as supply chain, methods, quality and maintenance manager. I left the methods department 2 years ago to take charge of the production workshop.
What does your job involve?
My role is to coordinate all the site's activities. I make sure that the teams have the resources they need to carry out their tasks.
What is your career path?
It's rather atypical. I started out as an electrical engineer. Then I became an industrial product designer, then project manager. Now I'm in charge of operations at the DEMGY Paris site.
How would you describe the company's culture?
It's a company on a human scale. The proximity between employees, even between different sites, and the cross-functional nature of the sites are great assets.
What's the best thing about working at DEMGY?
The diversity of the products and the technical nature.
How has the organization contributed to your professional development?
The confidence that my manager gives me, the autonomy on the site, and above all the closeness to all site and Group employees.
Tell me about a typical day and your daily tasks.
I start the day with an operational meeting with the production teams. Then I manage the priorities linked to customer requests, take care of my machine load, respond to quality requests for customers and supervise machine maintenance from time to time.
What do you like about your job?
The diversity of activities, the technical nature of our products, and the relationships with all our contacts, whether they be customers, suppliers or colleagues. That's what I like most about my job.
If you had to sum up DEMGY in 3 words?
Technical, dynamic and collaborative.
And if you had a message to pass on to someone who wants to apply but is hesitating?
We have a site in Clamart that is being modernized and reorganized. Our products are complex and our customers are major players in the aeronautics industry. It's a human-scale industrial site that allows us to work on noble products.
