Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Petrier Arnaud, I'm 22, and I joined DEMGY Paris in September 2022.

What does your job involve?

I'm a setter. My job is to take a drawing, create a program to make the part, and follow its production from start to finish. This includes everything from the initial programming to the realization and final inspection of the part.

What is your professional background?

I took a STI2D baccalaureate with an option in ITEC, specializing in industry. I then went on to do a two-year work-study BTS, which gave me solid practical experience in the industrial field.

What field did you do your work-study in?

My work-study placement was in industry, which enabled me to develop technical skills and gain a better understanding of production processes.

What's the best thing about working at DEMGY?

The best thing about working at DEMGY is the lack of pressure. We work in an environment where solidarity and mutual aid are valued. Everyone is there to support each other, which creates a positive, collaborative atmosphere.

What's your typical day like?

My day generally starts with set-up work rather than production, because the follow-up and production of parts require more time and precision. As a setter, I'm more or less the master builder of each part. I make sure that every step of the process is carried out correctly, from the creation of the program to the finalization of the part.

What do you like about working at DEMGY?

What I like most is the freedom and autonomy I enjoy. I can choose the best way to make a piece, whether in several parts or in a single step. This flexibility allows me to adapt to technical challenges and optimize the production process.

If you had to sum up DEMGY in three words, what would you say?
